Network Architect
DescriptionLeidos is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to sustainment support to a mission critical IP voice transport system in Scott AFB, IL.
As a Network Engineer on this program, you will be a member of a team that interacts with technical and non-technical teammates including customers and vendors.
The position requires expertise in WAN, LAN networks within multiple environments (DEV/TEST and Production infrastructure).
In this role, you will provide technical assistance, administer configurations, support testing, recommend enhancements, troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with the various network components.
Primary
Responsibilities:
o Work closely with network/systems engineers and site personnel to coordinate deployments and maintenance actions.
o Evaluate system network requirements and make appropriate technical recommendations.
o Provide network operations change, configuration, and problem management sustainment and engineering support.
o Establish remote management connectivity, updating the operating systems, coordinating and performing verification test (BER or burn-in tests) configuring alarm and system profiles, and configuring/testing various layers of the OSI model.
o Configure network performance monitoring tools.
o Support change request and new capability deployments as required.

Qualifications:
o Typically requires, bachelor's degree and 2 years of overall related experience or Master with 4 years.
Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
o Proficiency in at least two or more of the following devices:
SONUS SBC, Juniper MX5 routers, Juniper SRX firewalls, Juniper EX switches, KG-175D.
o Experience in remotely configuring networking or transport devices.
o Ability to map IP addresses and subnets for networking devices or ability to establish in-band/out of band management connections on transport devices.
o Ability to interpret network topology diagrams and proposed device configuration changes.
o Knowledge of configuring, deploying and supporting HAIPE (KG-175D)- especially with GD GemOne/Chimera.
o Must possess an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance.
o Must possess current DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security +ce.
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Proficiency with Juniper IOS or other IP/transport specific management tools (EMS) and general practices.
o Expertise in IP technologies, i.

o Expert Knowledge of IP principles.
o Proficiency in at least one of the following tools:
SolarWinds or Junos Space.
o Basic Linux Administration or command line interface (CLI) and scripting skills.
o JNCIA or JNCIP certification.
o Proficiency with RADIUS, SNMP, and NTP protocols.
o General knowledge of TLS and PKI.
o Proficiency with Juniper networking devices.
GSMOPay Range:
Pay Range $54,600.
00 - $84,000.
00 - $113,400.
